POS Software Technician
The successful candidate will enjoy a diverse and rewarding role in the POS team reporting to Ingrid Fallon. This role offers an opportunity to combine office and field work supporting our customers both remotely and onsite. There is real opportunity to develop and grow and eventually manage your own installations, staff training and go-live support for our sites.
The role will include:
- Providing helpdesk support to our customers.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues remotely or onsite when required.
- Making configuration changes to systems for customers, eg. adding new pricing or menus
- Building databases for new installs
- Staging and installing hardware
- Providing software support & training
- Liaising with third parties for support or projects.
- Working closely with suppliers, third parties and other teams in Tierney’s to resolve issues effectively & efficiently.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- 3rd Level IT Qualification
- Networking & Firewall experience
- Database knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience of installing and supporting computer equipment and peripherals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to providing highest standards of customer care
- A team player with a flexible and positive attitude to work
- Self-motivated with good time management skills
- Previous experience within the Hospitality Industry and/or knowledge of Hotel PMS / POS/ Accounting applications would be a distinct advantage
- Previous training experience an advantage but not essential
- Ability to be flexible with travel throughout Ireland and on occasions to the UK
- Full Driving Licence
