Tierney’s are proud to partner with Guestline as their Irish Sales, Training, Installation and Support centre for Guestline’s Cloud Based Hospitality Solutions. 

The luxurious four-star Lakeside Hotel, set in an idyllic location on the shores of Lake Windermere,  has seen online bookings double at the property since implementing Guestline’s cloud hosted solutions.

Previously using a server based system, the hotel wanted to move to a cloud hosted solution to integrate all operational systems and automate processes. The hotel opted for Guestline’s cloud hosted Rezlynx property management system, distribution, online booking and secure payment platforms which has helped drive direct bookings to 70%, delivering commission free, bookings throughout the property.

The Guestline systems have made a huge difference to our business. The systems are multi – functional and there are lots of short cuts helping us save time and resources every day. There is still lots to learn as we’re discovering new functionality every day. We’re looking forward to the opportunities that are ahead of us to get even more out of the system than we currently do.

All bookings, regardless of their source are automatically delivered into the Lakeside’s PMS via the fully integrated distribution platform – availability, rates and bookings are automatically updated allowing for real time availability to be shown throughout.

The team benefit hugely from the flexibility that accompanies a cloud hosted system. For example, housekeeping can log in at any time, from any place on their iPad to check the status of a room, reception can check in and out guests from anywhere and management can access the reporting functionality off-site to enable the smooth running of the hotel.

Clive added, “We have been able to increase our average room rates due to the ease of being able to flex and manage rates automatically, optimising our revenue streams. With the automation of many of the processes, like booking confirmations and deposit payments we have saved a lot of time which has allowed us to engage with our guests more.”

The Lakeside Hotel and Spa have doubled their online bookings in just 6 months – this is a fantastic example of hoteliers really utilising the tools made available to them and I am delighted the hotel is reaping such positive results. The team at Lakeside Hotel and Spa really embraced the switch to Guestline’s solutions and saw no disruption to day to day running during the installation period.
